Hannah ~ HCHS Senior Spokesmodel

This is the second time I've had the pleasure of photographing Hannah. The first time was this past spring. We did a session in her prom dress before Cawood's 2008 prom. She was wearing one of the most beautiful prom dresses I've seen in a very long time!

The latest time I got to work with her was photographing her senior portraits last week. We shot in the studio and then at Kingdom Come State Park, which was the first time I've photographed a senior there this year.

Have a look!

Rebecca, HCHS Senior Spokesmodel

Okay. I've said on more than one occasion that I took way too many pictures and made it too hard for my seniors and their parents to choose. Well, I outdid myself with Rebecca.

Between her cheerleading practices and my crazy-busy schedule, it was almost impossible to find a date to do outdoor & studio shots. So, we had to break up her appointment over two days, which resulted in more than 400 pictures!

Man, talking about tough! It was so hard to choose favorites to retouch that I ended up proofing more than twice what I usually do!

Red and black seem to be the trend with my favorites. Check out the blog in a week or so to see tons more pictures in her senior book!

Portrait-Customized Photo Guestbook

Keli & James's wedding package included a photo guest book. These are so cool. It's the first one I've done and it has turned out beautifully! It will be an 8x8 sized book that includes images from their engagement session, space to guests to write notes, and pages for guest's signatures.

With everything that you have to purchase for your wedding day, it's nice to have this already included in the package!

*note* In this slideshow, the last blank page and the page to it's right are switched. For some reason the computer doesn't like me today and won't let me fix it!

Samantha's Senior Book

Samantha's package includes a 5"x5" basic design hardcover book. This one is a bit different than the books I've done in the past. While very simple in design, it displays her images beautifully!

***Please note that the software I use to create this slideshow distorts some of the sizes making them appear as if they are not aligned properly.***

Samantha, Harlan High Senior Spokesmodel

Samantha didn't have nearly the distance to drive as most of our other spokesmodels. She comes from our county seat, Harlan. She is representing the class of 2009 by being our first senior spokesmodel from Harlan Independent!

She is a great rep too! Her session wasn't but just a week and a half ago, but she's already been showing off her pictures and promoting the studio. Thanks Sam! :)

She chose to focus mainly on outdoor portraits, so we went to 2 different locations. The first was her choice, the rail road tracks, and the second was mine, an alley behind my studio. I love when I find new locations to shoot!

As usual, here are a few favorites!

Kristina: Prestonsburg High Senior Spokesmodel

Kristina's mom asked me if I'd ever photographed a senior so small. My answer is, no. I've never photographed a senior quite so "fun-sized". :) I'm really glad I got a chance to create Kristina's senior images. They drove a little over 2 hours to get to us, but I think it was well worth it! She was tons of fun shooting and she, her dad, boyfriend, and I had a good time picking out her pictures. It was really hard for them to decide on their favorites, and just as hard for me to decide my favorites to create her senior spokesmodel 411 cards!

Here are a few of our favorites:

Brenda + Raif = Great Wedding!

We've all heard of Bridezillas, right? Wikipedia describes her as "a difficult, unpleasant, perfectionist bride who leaves aggravated family, friends and bridal vendors in her wake. A bridezilla is obsessed with her wedding as her perfect day and will disregard the feelings of the family, bridesmaids and even her groom in her quest for the perfect wedding." Well, Brenda was the exact opposite! :) She and Raif were great to work with. I couldn't have asked for a friendlier, more laid-back couple.

They tied the knot on July 12, 2008 in Evarts, Kentucky. They currently reside in Tennessee with their blended family of 3 sons.

I finally finished their wedding album and it's one of my favorites to date!

Have a look for yourself!

Harlan County High Dance Team

For those of you who may not know, 3 county high schools (Cumberland, Cawood & Evarts) are consolidating this fall into one school, Harlan County High. There are several new sports offered at the new school, including a very talented dance team coached by Lonna Bledsoe.

The parents thought it would be a good idea to do a fun photo shoot with the girls to help them bond and get to know each other better. I'm very glad that they chose our studio for their portraits! The girls are so funny and we had a great time cutting up and acting like models for the day!
